Sint-Michiels bridge From this bridge you have nice view on the three most famous towers of Ghent: the Sint-Niklaas church, the Belfort and the Sint-Baafs kathedral. At the left you see the Graslei and Korenlei. At your right is the Sint-Michiels church.
Graslei
The river Leie runs through the hart of the city. The Graslei once was a bank of a florishing harbour as you still can see at the beautiful
medieval
houses along side of it. Now there are mostly restaurants housed in them.
Korenlei
This street on the other side of the Leie opposite to the Graslei and this whole area is beautiful to visit. Don't miss it! You can sit along the waterfront or have a drink or meal at one of the many restaurants or terrasses here.
The Pand
This once was a
Dominican monastery and goes all the way back to the 13th century.
Now it belongs to the University of Ghent and is used for
cultural activities. The garden with box is a haven of peace.
