Giardinni Publico
I made this picture during my stay in Milan in spring. The flowers and trees just came out. When I am in a city I always try to visit a park. For me it's a moment to relax.
Address: Via Palestro/Bastioni di Porta Venezia
Basilica di S. Ambrogio The basilica was built in the year 379. Later a presbytery, a monastery and a bell tower were built on (as you can see by the difference in architectural style).
Address: Piazza S. Ambrogio
Castello Sforzesco Next to the Duomo this is another symbol of the city. The Castle was named after Francesco Sforza (duke of Milan in the 15th century) but initially this was the palace of the Visconti, built in the 14the century. Today there are museums, gardens, and exhibits. Michelangelo's final work, Rondadini Pietà, is displayed in one of the museums. http://www.milanocastello.it more information about the museum
