In my search for a hotel I noticed that not many hotels are located in the center or in the nicer areas (as the Brera district). Only a few do...underneath you'll find my selection. Ariosto Hotel (€€€)
This hotel is also located very centrally (only 200 meters to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie where Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper" can be admired. Some of the rooms look out on a quiet inner garden. There even are rooms with a sauna or whirlpool. They also offer free bikes and internet access. Good value for money.

Ritter hotel (€€€)
This hotel is situated in the historical artistic area (Duomo area) of Milan, 10 (walking) minutes from the Piazza Duomo. Besides it's next to the Castello Sforzesco and the Parco Sempione (for jogging in the morning maybe?). They have a nice panoramic terrace.

Restructured according to bio-architectural principals, this is the first hotel that protects its guest from pollution while safeguarding the environment...building materials, fittings, mattresses and fibers, paints and glues are natural or non toxic (even the breakfast is biological). It's a nice 3 star hotel centrally located.
