Belga Queen
Housed in a former grain storehouse, overlooking the Graslei. This restaurant, beer bar, oyster bar and cigar lounge now has a modern architectural design. I had lunch downstairs sitting in one of the comfortable large and deep chairs. On the second floor you have a view into the open kitchen. Even a visit to the toilet is worthwhile. From 15.00h to 19.00h there's a reduced a la carte card menu.

Valentijn
Restaurant in the Patershol district (left on the picture). Very popular among the local Ghent people. They have a nice 4 course meal which is French oriented.

Damberd jazzcafé
For the last 25 years it has been a jazz café. Regularly there are live performances of artists. Nice to have a drink while listening to the jazz music. There was a mixed bunch of people when I visited this place...really nice!

Terraces
When the weather is nice, you'll find terraces all over the city. You never have to look far for them. Everybody is enjoying the sun and their drink. The picture shows a terrace at the Sint-Baafs square.
