The Little Mermaid
This is the most famous tourist attraction in Copenhagen.
The Mermaid sits on a stone very close to the harbour. I was
surprised how small she is...little indeed! Hans Christian
Andersen wrote the fairytale by the very same name.
Nyhavn
It's a popular meeting place and perfect for enjoying a meal
or a drink in one of the many open air cafes, restaurants
and bars.
A wonderful canal street with colourful old houses and beautiful
sailing ships.
Amalienborg Royal Castle
This is where the royal family lives in the winter. The castle
is made up of four separate palaces encircling an octagonal
courtyard. Very often you can see changing of the guard.
Radhuspladsen
On this square you'll find the city hall that's right in the
heart of the city. From here you can get to Tivoli, the railway
station or the Stroget.
