This beguine convent is an oasis of peace and quiet, yet located in the middle of the city. The 44 charming little houses are dating back to the sixteenth century.

De Grote Markt
One of the most pleasant squares in the city surrounded by the Town Hall and the so-called houses of the Guilds or corporations. It's the lively center of the old city with numerous cafés, restaurants etc.
